This is the cloth outer bag assembly for the Kirby Sentria, part 190008, with the straight zipper. The outer bag holds the disposable inner bag and forms a second layer of filtration around it, so it is doing real work rather than simply dressing the machine.
Cloth bags reach the end of their lives in three ways: the fabric thins and tears along the fold lines, the zipper stops running or loses teeth, and the bag holds a stale smell that no amount of washing shifts.
