Product details
The terminal block holder for Kirby uprights, part 162379S. It is the moulded carrier that grips the terminal block and holds it in a fixed position, so the connections it carries are supported rather than hanging on their own wires.
Old holders crack from heat cycling and from being levered on during previous repairs. Once the block can move, the wiring takes strain it was never meant to carry, terminals loosen, and the machine develops the sort of intermittent fault that comes and goes as the cable is flexed — the hardest kind to chase.
This holder fits the Kirby Tradition and Tradition 3CB, Heritage I, Heritage II, Heritage II Legend, and Legend II. Unplug the machine before working anywhere near the terminal block, and check the block and its wire ends for heat damage while you have it out.
