Product details
Part 552399S is the Kirby Generation-series transmission supplied complete with rear wheels. The package covers the Tech-Drive assembly, the bracket cam assembly, the neutral/drive pedal and two rear wheels already fitted. Hubcaps are not part of it and should be moved across from the old unit.
This is a common repair on Generation machines that have stopped propelling themselves. The signs are a vacuum that suddenly feels like hard work on carpet, a drive that slips or engages late, or rear wheels that wobble because the housing has worn around the axles. Replacing the whole assembly saves chasing those faults one at a time.
It fits the Kirby G4, G5, G6 and Diamond Edition uprights.
