Ordered as 187901G, this is the complete outer bag assembly for the Kirby Ultimate G. It is not just the cloth: the kit arrives as the outer cloth bag, the snap mini em-tor and the fill tube, so the entire bag side of the machine is renewed in one go.
The cloth bag is the second stage of filtration, catching what gets past the paper bag inside it, and it is also the part that takes the most abuse. Fabric goes thin at the fold, a seam opens, or the zipper gives up and stops closing properly. Any of those lets fine dust back into the room, which is the point of the bag defeated.
Buying the assembly rather than the bag alone makes sense when the em-tor is cracked or the fill tube has hardened, which on a machine of this age is usually the case.
