Upholstery tool for the Kirby Ultimate G and Diamond Edition, part 218001. The wide flat mouth is made to be drawn across fabric - sofa cushions, mattress panels, chair backs, car seats - where a narrow nozzle would only leave tracks and pull the material up into itself.
Most of these are replaced after a fall. The tool is almost always in use at arm's length on the end of a hose, and a cracked mouth or a split collar leaks air, so it stops holding fabric against the airflow and starts skating over it instead. The other common reason is simply that the original went missing from the attachment caddy years ago.
Kirby's tools carry over between generations in appearance but not always in fitment, so match this one by the badge on your machine: Ultimate G or Diamond Edition.
