Left-hand scroll housing in black, part B386-3114, for PV2-platform R40 and S40 uprights from Riccar and Simplicity. The scroll housing is the shaped shell that wraps the fan and turns its outflow into a controlled exhaust path. Its contour is what keeps the air moving in one direction instead of churning against itself, so a cracked or warped half costs suction and adds noise.
The left and right halves are mirrored and are ordered separately. This listing covers the left side only; the matching right half is part B386-3214. Replace both when a fan failure has thrown debris through the housing, since a chipped scroll edge disturbs the airflow even after the fan is new.
