A worn timing belt is the usual suspect when a Lindhaus Activa brush roll slows down, squeals, or stops turning altogether — and once it slips, carpets stop getting groomed no matter how strong the suction is. This geared (toothed) belt meshes directly with the motor pulley, so it transfers power without the stretching and slipping that flat belts suffer from. Swapping it takes only a few minutes and brings the brush roll back up to full speed. Part #012440300.
