The Lindhaus LS50 Hybrid is the wide-area upright in Lindhaus's LS50 line built to run on both battery power and a standard cord, so a crew can start on battery in an area without a nearby outlet and then plug in once one is available. That flexibility is the reason to choose the Hybrid over the Electric-only version: it does not force a choice between cordless mobility and continuous corded runtime.
The wide-area body covers more floor per pass than a standard upright, which is the point of the LS50 line, but it also needs more room to maneuver and a wider doorway to pass through. Facilities running the LS50 Hybrid across large open floors, such as convention space, big-box retail, or long institutional corridors, get the coverage benefit of the wide path with the option to switch power sources as the layout demands.
Because it can run on battery, the Hybrid needs the same basic care as any battery-powered machine: keep the pack charged between uses and store it in a way that protects the battery, on top of the routine maintenance any wide-area upright needs. In practice that added flexibility is the whole reason to pay more for the Hybrid rather than the plain Electric configuration.
