Part AK1LW6H is Oreck's own HEPA filtration bag for the Magnesium and Discover uprights, six to a pack. Oreck lists it against the UK30500 and UK30500PC Discover machines and the LW100 and LW1500 Magnesium machines, which is the whole of its fitment rather than a partial list.
The construction is four layers of filtration material with a HEPA inner bag that Oreck rates at capturing at least 99.97 percent of particles at 0.3 microns, the size range that covers pollen, house dust and animal dander. An activated charcoal layer sits in the stack to work on odors held inside the bag, which matters more on a lightweight upright whose exhaust passes close to the user.
Capacity is up to 8 quarts, and Oreck fits a Saniseal closure that shuts the bag automatically as it comes out of the dock, so the dust that took the bag's whole life to collect does not escape in the last three seconds. Installation is a matter of dropping the collar into the bag dock and snapping it closed.
Even with that capacity, a bag run past roughly two thirds full restricts airflow before it looks full from outside, and on a lightweight upright the change is quick to feel: the machine seems to push harder for less, and carpet that used to clear in one pass needs two. Confirm the model on your rating plate against the list above, since a bag that does not seat cleanly on the dock leaks at the connector no matter how well the paper filters.
