D123-0114 is the cover that closes over the motor compartment on Riccar Vibrance uprights. It is a structural panel as much as a cosmetic one: it holds the compartment sealed so air leaving the motor follows the exhaust path instead of escaping at the side of the machine.
Covers get replaced when the retaining tabs snap, when the panel has been cracked by a fall, or when a previous repair left it unable to sit flush. A cover that will not latch down rattles at speed and lets unfiltered air past the seal.
