Motor compartment cover for the PV2 generation of Riccar R40 and Simplicity S40 Tandem Air uprights, supplied under part number D380-5714 with its seal fitted.
Check which chassis generation you own before ordering. The PV version of this cover is a separate part, listed as D380-1114, and the seal arrangement differs between them. A hairline crack in a motor cover is easy to overlook during a filter change and tends to announce itself as a machine that runs louder than it used to while picking up less. If the cover is coming off as part of a larger service, the 40 series clean air motor assembly is stocked as D386-2700.
