Filter cover for the direct-air motor on Riccar and Simplicity PV uprights, part number B380-1214. A direct-air machine draws the dirt through the fan itself, so the motor filter behind this cover is what keeps fine grit off the motor once air has left the bag chamber. The cover holds that filter flat and square to the airpath.
