SEBO Motor Mount Gasket for...

Product details
A shaped gasket fills the gap where the suction motor beds into the body of an AIRBELT E canister, and it is what keeps that joint sealed. 8212ER is the number for it, catalogued at position 8 of the AIRBELT E drawing under SEBO's own literal caption, engine mount gasket. It suits the AIRBELT E1 KOMBI, the AIRBELT E2 TURBO and the AIRBELT E3 Premium.
This material lives clamped against something that gets hot and shakes without pause, so it compresses permanently long before it looks worn, then goes hard and finally splits. From that moment the motor draws part of its air straight through the leak rather than through the bag and the filters. Suction at the nozzle drops away while the machine sounds exactly as it always has, which is why this fault survives so many service visits. A gasket costs little and is buried behind everything else, so the sensible moment to renew it is any time the motor is already out.
Where it sits on the drawing
Positions 8 through 13 of the AIRBELT E sheet are the motor pack, in order: this gasket at 8, the vacuum motor at 9, the wire at 10, the motor support at 11, the noise limiting cover at 12 and the motor cover at 13. The motor above it is 8243ER and the noise limiting cover is 8220ER, both of which cover the same three canisters as this gasket. If the machine is apart far enough to reach position 8, those two are worth inspecting while access is easy.
