Product details
Part 15200 is a ring terminal built for a No. 10 stud, made without insulation, and rated for 22 to 18 gauge wire. Powr-Flite specifies the ring-tongue shape here rather than a spade lug because a closed ring cannot work loose off a stud the way an open spade can once vibration sets in.
Matching the wire gauge matters more than it might seem. A terminal crimped onto wire outside its rated range either fails to bite the strands or shears them during the crimp, and both faults tend to surface later as a connection that runs warm or drops out under load rather than failing outright on the bench. Extractors and scrubbers that run wet make a warm ground connection worth catching early, before corrosion sets in on top of a loose joint.
Snug the mounting nut to firm plus a quarter turn rather than wrench-tight. An overtightened ring terminal on a plated stud strips the threads about as reliably as a loose one lets the connection work free over time.
- Part: 15200
- Stud: No. 10
- Wire gauge: 22-18 AWG
- Insulation: none
- Termination: ring tongue
For heavier 14-16 AWG wire on the same No. 10 stud, the equivalent terminal is stocked separately as F21. Because this terminal carries no insulating collar, budget a piece of heat-shrink tubing or a separate boot to cover the joint once it is crimped. Ships to you in 2-5 business days.
