Product details

Powr-Flite's parts catalog names A732-8205 SCREW HILO No 8-3/8, and the same fastener also carries the CleanMax label. Hi-Lo thread geometry, alternating a full-height crest with a shorter one, is designed to bite into plastic without cracking it and to seat cleanly again if a housing has already been taken apart once before.

Being only 3/8 in. long makes this a hold-down screw rather than one meant to clamp two housing halves together. Screws this short vanish easily during a teardown, and grabbing the wrong length by accident is just as common, since several lengths in this same thread pattern are hard to tell apart by eye. The self-threading No. 5 x 1/2 in. counterpart, A732-9206, covers boss holes that run longer, so measure against the original fastener rather than assuming thread style alone tells you which length to order.
