Molded nozzle for Riccar Vibrance uprights in the metallic red finish, listed as D017-1330.2 and specified for the VIBC and VIBCNT machines. The nozzle is the front shell of the cleaning head that meets the carpet, encloses the brushroll and funnels debris into the airway.
Because it is the leading edge of the machine, this is the part that takes furniture legs, baseboards and thresholds. Cracks around the nozzle lip let air in ahead of the brush, and that leaked air is suction the carpet never sees.
