This Kenmore nozzle housing (Part #KC02RDEMZCUD) is a replacement shell for the power nozzle on models 116.23110800C, 116.23110801C, 116.28014700, 116.28015700, 116.53110800C, 116.53110801C, 116.58014700, and 116.58015700. It forms the body that carries the brush roll and directs airflow up into the wand.
A nozzle housing that is cracked or has broken mounts lets the brush roll sit loose, throws off its alignment, and leaks air along the split. The result is weak carpet pickup and knocking noises as the roll shifts. A sound housing reseats the assembly and seals the suction path.
