The nozzle is the cleaning head at the front of the Bissell PowerForce PowerBrush Pet XL, and this is the Pacific Purple replacement, part 1626488. It fits the 3071 along with the 3067, 3072 and 3109.

Everything the machine does passes through this part: solution goes down, dirty water comes back up, and the shaped channel behind the lip is what makes recovery work. Crack it against a chair leg or a baseboard and the head stops sealing to the floor. You get streaking, water left sitting in the carpet, and dribbles round the edge of the head instead of clean suction.

With the head apart, check the gaskets and the seal face too. A perfect nozzle on a hardened seal still leaks.
