TC-RINLET names the inlet fitting built directly into a central vacuum power unit rather than mounted somewhere along the pipe run to a wall plate. A hose plugs in right at the machine itself.

Having an inlet at the unit pays off in the room where that unit lives, letting a garage, shop or utility space get vacuumed on the spot with nothing to install and no wall plate needed. This fitting also absorbs rougher use than most connections in the system, since hoses here get yanked free rather than unplugged carefully, and once the collar cracks or loosens, air leaks in at that joint and the whole system can end up losing suction.
