This Oreck carbon motor brush kit (Part #09-75514-01) contains the replacement carbon brushes needed to recondition the motor in your Oreck upright vacuum. Carbon brushes are the spring-loaded contacts that ride against the motor commutator and deliver electrical current to the armature — the rotating core that powers Oreck's lightweight, high-speed motor. Over time the carbon grinds down, and the motor starts to spark, weaken, or cut out.
