Part 430000208 is the fan housing from the Oreck Elevate Command uprights, the UK30200 and UK30200PC, and it fits the UK30270 as well. It encloses the fan and channels its output into the duct that ends at the nozzle.
Fan housings are the part that pays when something hard gets past the nozzle. A chip or a split in the chamber wall lets air recirculate around the fan instead of moving through the machine, and suction drops out of all proportion to how small the damage looks. Cracks near the mounting flange let the housing shift slightly under load, which is usually what you are hearing when a machine picks up a new rattle or whistle at full speed.
Unplug the vacuum before opening the fan area, and inspect the fan blades once the housing is off.
