This genuine Oreck scroll tongue (Part #83177-01) is the airflow-directing component for the LW1500 RS magnesium upright. The scroll tongue mounts to the fan assembly and channels the air discharged by the impeller, guiding debris-laden airflow smoothly through the housing toward the bag for efficient, clog-free pickup.

A cracked or worn scroll tongue disrupts that airflow path and can hurt suction or cause excess noise. Installing the correct replacement restores the engineered air channel inside the fan chamber.
