Oreck Shoulder Strap - Bust...

Product details
Every canister in Oreck's Buster B line is meant to be worn rather than rolled across a floor, and part 73010-01-0327 is the strap that puts it on your shoulder. It hooks onto the canister body so the machine hangs at your side while you clear stairs, the inside of a car, or anywhere a wheeled machine would just be in the way.
When a strap fails, it almost always starts at the hardware rather than in the middle of the webbing. The clip or hook is the first part to wear out, and once that goes the webbing threaded through it starts fraying at the same spot soon after; either failure drops the canister the moment it lets go. Webbing that has stiffened and cracked along a fold line is heading down that same path and is worth swapping before it fails mid-carry rather than after.
This particular strap fits eight Buster B canister models, from the BB900SM up through the BB1200DBB, all listed below. Installing it takes no tools at all, just hands: hook it onto the canister's attachment points, adjust the length to fit, and pull firmly to test the hold before trusting it on a staircase. Inspect the mounting loops on the canister itself while you are there, since a worn strap has usually shared the same years of use as the points it clips into.
