This is a genuine Oreck detergent control valve for the Oreck Steemer carpet cleaning machines, including the XLS700, 700Q, M800, and M800Q. The valve meters the flow of cleaning solution from the tank to the floor, working with the control knob to regulate exactly how much detergent reaches the carpet during cleaning.

When the valve clogs, sticks, or fails to seal, the Steemer may dispense too much solution, too little, or none at all. Installing a fresh valve (Part #53313-01) restores accurate flow control and prevents leaks or dry passes.
