This is a complete Perfect power nozzle assembly, part PPN1, built for the C101 and C103 canister vacuums and supplied with its wand set and the geared drive belt already installed, so it's ready to connect to the hose and put to work.
Perfect has run two belt styles across this nozzle's production: newer units use a ribbed serpentine belt, while older nozzles were built with a cogged belt. Either way the drive is geared rather than a plain round stretch belt, and this assembly arrives with the correct belt already fitted, so there is nothing to work out about which generation you have when the whole head is being replaced.
Inside the housing the belt spins the brush roll, and that rotation is what works ground-in dirt and pet hair free of carpet pile before the airflow carries it away. The black housing and included wands mean this can go in as a full nozzle-and-wand replacement rather than a bare head.
