SEBO Inner Brush Roller Bea...

Product details

A roller that turns stiffly by hand has a bearing problem, not a belt problem. Part 2467 is the inner plastic bearing that carries the brush roller inside the SEBO ELECTRONIC 370 and the SEBO ET-C power head.

The bearing sits at the roller end and lets the brush spin freely under the drive coming off the belt. Hair and fine grit work their way into the bore, the running clearance closes up, and the roller starts to drag. From that point the belt absorbs the extra load, stretches and glazes, and the motor runs hot for no gain in cleaning. Owners usually notice the symptoms rather than the cause: repeated belt failures, a roller that is noisy or notchy when spun by hand with the machine unplugged, and carpet that no longer looks groomed after a pass.

Renewing the bearing is the small end of that repair. It frees the roller, takes the load back off the drive, and breaks the cycle of belts failing every few months. While the head is open, clear the wound hair from both roller ends, check the belt for glazing, and look at the pulley the belt runs on, which is listed for these same two machines as 2458. A worn pulley and a tight bearing produce very similar symptoms, so it is worth judging both before closing the head up.

  • Part number: 2467
  • Fits: the SEBO ELECTRONIC 370 and SEBO ET-C power heads
  • Part supplied: inner brush roller bearing, plastic, sold singly
  • Symptoms: stiff or noisy roller rotation, repeated belt failures, poor agitation
  • While the head is open: clear wound hair from the roller ends and check the belt
  • Companion part: brush roller pulley 2458
