Riccar / Simplicity Power Nozzle Cord, Canister

This power nozzle cord, part B350-7314C, carries current from the wand down to the motorized nozzle on Riccar and Simplicity canister systems. Think of it as a second, internal cord that feeds the nozzle's brush motor its own supply of power, separate from the cord that plugs the canister itself into the wall.

A cord in this position gets flexed, coiled and tugged every time the machine is used, so the conductors inside eventually fatigue and break even though the outer jacket may still look fine. A damaged cord shows up as a power head that cuts in and out, stops spinning intermittently, or will not run at all, and a cracked or split jacket exposes live wire, which is a shock hazard rather than just an inconvenience.

Because the fault is inside the jacket, a cord that looks intact can still be the problem. If the nozzle motor is unreliable and the connections at both ends are clean, the cord itself is worth checking before assuming the motor has failed.
