Height adjust assembly for a canister power nozzle, stocked as part C350-9700 under factory reference 42495. The height adjuster raises and lowers the nozzle so the brushroll meets plush carpet, low pile or a bare floor at the right depth.
Once the mechanism wears, the nozzle either sinks to its lowest setting on its own or refuses to hold the selection at all, which shows up as brushroll noise, poor pickup, or a power head that is hard to push. Fitting a fresh assembly brings back positive, repeatable settings.
