    Part 1942-KIT-2 is the motor replacement kit for the 1942-B motor used in 10 and 13 gallon carpet extractors, supplied as a kit with the mounting hardware needed to fit it rather than as a loose motor.

    Extractor motors work hard: they pull air loaded with moisture and cleaning chemical through hours-long duty cycles, and that is usually why the motor gives out before anything else on a tank that is otherwise sound. A motor that runs but has lost suction, that squeals from worn bearings, or that trips a breaker on startup is usually past the point of a bearing or brush repair and calling for a full kit instead. Powr-Flite lists this kit for the PFX1050-HA, PFX1080, PFX1080E, PFX1082CW, PFX1082E, PFX1085E, PFX1350A, PFX1350HA, PFX1380 and PFX1380E.

    Before installing, check that the wiring harness terminals on the new motor match the old one, and confirm the mounting hardware from the kit is what you use rather than reusing hardware that may have corroded in service.
