A pad driver is the disc that couples a floor pad to the machine. Its gripping face bites the back of the pad and holds it flat and centered so the pad wears evenly and the machine runs without chatter. When the teeth on a driver round off, pads start spinning loose, wandering off center or flying free mid-pass.
Match the driver to the machine deck: a 20 in. floor machine takes the 20 in. driver, and running an undersized one leaves the outer band of the pad doing nothing. Ships to you in 2-5 business days.
