    Replacement AC cordset from Powr-Flite, ordered as part 39739. It is supplied as a made-up cordset rather than bulk wire, so the power lead goes back on the machine as an assembly instead of being spliced together on the bench.

    Power cords take the worst of daily commercial use. They get run over, yanked from the plug end rather than the body, and pinched in doorways, and the damage usually starts at the strain relief where the cord leaves the housing. A nicked jacket, exposed conductor, or intermittent connection is a reason to retire a cord immediately rather than tape it.
