The ACUSTEK quiet-running Ametek motor, supplied here as part 1973 in a peripheral bypass layout. Bypass construction gives the motor its own cooling air path, separate from the air being pulled off the floor, so moisture and debris never travel across the windings. That is why this style is specified for the vacuum side of automatic scrubbers and other wet pickup work.
