Product details
Part B352-1000 is the secondary filter cap fitted to the PF300BP, Powr-Flite's backpack vacuum. It bridges the secondary filter opening and pins the media flat against its seat, keeping the intake sealed so incoming air passes through the media rather than slipping around its rim.
On a backpack machine this cap opens far more often than the same style of part on an upright, since the operator carries the unit through hallways and around equipment carts between filter changes and every jolt reaches the housing directly through the harness on the operator's back. The retaining tabs weaken first: repeated flexing softens the plastic until a corner no longer snaps down flush, and a cap riding loose at one corner is only a matter of time before it works free entirely mid-shift.
Check the fit of the cap whenever the filter behind it is serviced. If a corner lifts under light finger pressure or the cap rocks instead of sitting flat, replace it even though the media underneath may still have life left, since a gap at the rim lets dust bypass the media and reach the motor unfiltered.
To fit the new cap, set the filter media in its housing first, then lower the cap squarely over the opening and press each corner down until every tab clicks into its catch. Confirm all four corners sit flush against the housing before closing the machine back up and returning it to service.
