Product details
Part B352-1800 is a top motor mount used in Powr-Flite backpack vacuum canisters. It is the upper seat that carries the motor, holding it centered in the canister and cushioning the vibration that would otherwise travel straight down the frame and into the straps on an operator's shoulders.
Mount material like this softens gradually under hours of heat and vibration, and once it loses its grip the motor can drift slightly off-center inside its housing. That shift usually shows up first as a low hum through the harness or a rattle at idle that was not there when the machine was newer, well before the motor itself gives any sign of actually failing. An off-center motor also wears its lower mount faster, so check that companion part at the same time you look at this one.
Powr-Flite has built several backpack platforms over the years, and a mount sized for one canister will not necessarily seat correctly in another. Pull the worn mount and set B352-1800 beside it to compare the seat diameter and bore before ordering, or check the part diagram for your specific machine rather than going by model name alone, since a mount that is even slightly undersized will not damp vibration the way it should. Note this reminder if your unit's diagram is not on hand yet.
