    Part X1042 is the small molded cap that shields the cord connection on Powr-Flite Comfort Pro machines. It keeps the contacts covered when the cord is unplugged and protects the joint from the mop water, dust and foot traffic that any commercial cleaning cart lives with.

    Components like this rarely fail on their own. They get stepped on, run over by a cart wheel, or disappear during a cord swap and nobody notices until the machine is back in service with bare contacts.
