A sanding block holds abrasive screen or paper flat against the floor while the machine turns it, which is how a standard-speed rotary is used for screening wood floors between coats or knocking down a rough finish. The UP2P plate is the drive coupling that lets the block drop on and lift off by hand, and it is the part that eventually wears rather than the block itself, so it is also sold on its own.
Powr-Flite's economy accessories in adjacent sizes include the TL16 and TL19 pad drivers, both built the same way with the riser and clutch plate already in place.
