Product details
This is the bag compartment seal from the Powr-Flite PF300BP backpack vacuum, listed as B352-6100 in the machine's own parts breakdown. On a unit carried on the operator's back rather than pushed or pulled, air that gets past the bag escapes close to the wearer instead of into open room air, so this seal earns more attention here than the same part would on an upright.
The PF300BP closes up in stages. A cloth filter bag sits in the compartment, a paper bag goes inside it, and as the two latches come down the nozzle in the center of the lid pushes into the cardboard disc of the paper bag. Powr-Flite's operating instructions ask the user to confirm that the flexible ring gives a proper seal each time the lid closes, and the compartment seal is what closes the gap around that assembly.
Because the compartment is opened at every bag change, that is the natural moment to look at the seal rather than waiting for a drop in pickup. A seal compressed flat over time can still look undamaged while no longer filling the gap it was cut for, and bypass air at this point reduces what the filtration behind it actually catches long before the operator notices anything at the nozzle.

The same parts list carries several other seals for this machine, including a body seal, an inlet seal and a motor seal, so establish which one is failing before ordering rather than assuming the bag compartment is the source.
