Duct cover assembly, part D051-0400, for the Powr-Flite Prolite PF upright. This panel closes off the duct that carries debris up from the nozzle, and when it cracks or loses a mounting tab the machine starts drawing air through the split instead of through the floor.
It is a cheap part with an expensive symptom: pickup falls off while the motor still sounds strong, which sends most people looking at the bag and the brushroll first.
