The PS320 needs no power source at all. It sweeps a 32 in. path on nothing but the operator walking behind it, which makes it the answer for loading docks, storage yards, patios and lots where getting power out to a machine costs more trouble than the sweeping is worth.
Four brushes do the work. A side broom at each corner works debris inward to the main brooms, and those lift it into a 1.6 cubic foot hopper that comes out for emptying into a bin. Powr-Flite rates the arrangement at roughly 30,000 square feet an hour. The two main brooms run on a tandem principle where only one of them is in contact with the floor, so the unworn front broom can later be moved back as the rear one's replacement.
The whole machine weighs 24 lbs, the housing is all plastic so it can be hosed rather than wiped, and the handle folds down for upright storage against a wall. Powr-Flite builds it with dust-proof bearings and describes the machine as maintenance free, which in practice means there is nothing to grease and nothing to charge.
Wear on a manual sweeper lands on belts, not on a motor. Powr-Flite's parts list names the side broom belt PS320A, the main broom belt PS320B and the drive belt PS320C, and keeping the first two on a shelf is what stops a route being interrupted.
