The jet orifice is a wear item independent of the wand body around it. Rinse the wand and jet through with clean water after each job. Dried cleaning solution left inside the passage narrows the flow path over time and gradually changes the spray pattern the jet was built to produce, even when the orifice itself is not visibly worn, so a wand that has never been flushed can spray unevenly while still looking new.
