Product details

Powr-Flite catalogs this single-jet carpet extractor wand as PFX-KIT1, built to a 200 PSI maximum and carrying an 11003-size brass spray jet. A single jet keeps the spray pattern simple to inspect and clear, which suits it to lighter-duty extractors where pump pressure does not exceed the 200 PSI ceiling. It is a stainless steel double-bend wand with a 12 inch cleaning path and a 1-1/2 inch vacuum hose connection, and Powr-Flite pairs it with the Pulsar Plus portable extractor.

The jet orifice is a wear item independent of the wand body around it. Solution passing through it under pressure gradually erodes the opening, and an eroded jet sprays a wider, weaker pattern at the same pressure setting than a new one does, which shows up as streaky, uneven wetting across a pass well before the wear is visible to the eye. Because jets are rated by flow rather than by looks, comparing spray coverage against a known-good wand is a better test than a visual check.

Matching the pressure rating to your machine is not optional here. Push more than 200 PSI through this wand and the seal or fitting at the handle end is what typically gives way first, and the tell is a wet patch forming right at that joint along with a sudden loss of spray, rather than a gradual weakening at the tip.

  • Part number: PFX-KIT1
  • Jet: one, brass 11003
  • Maximum pressure: 200 PSI
  • Cleaning path: 12 inch, with a 1-1/2 inch hose connection
  • Listed for: Powr-Flite Pulsar Plus portable extractor

Rinse the wand and jet through with clean water after each job. Dried cleaning solution left inside the passage narrows the flow path over time and gradually changes the spray pattern the jet was built to produce, even when the orifice itself is not visibly worn, so a wand that has never been flushed can spray unevenly while still looking new.
