A toothed pad holder sized at 330 mm, or 13 in., from Powr-Flite. Part number 39407. The pad holder is what the floor pad actually mounts to, and the teeth across its face bite into the back of the pad so it turns with the drive instead of spinning loose under load.
Holders wear out from the pad side first. Once the teeth are rounded off, pads slip, tear and come off mid-pass, and the machine stops biting into the finish the way it should. A fresh holder costs less than the pads a worn one will chew through.
