The gray jacket is easy to pick out of a van stacked with blue sections, which matters more than it sounds when a crew is pulling one specific length off the pile at six in the morning. Twenty feet covers the middle distance well — long enough to reach a second room without adding a coupling, short enough that one person can still handle the coil on a stairwell.
