The Numatic 160 draws its air through an 11-inch TriTex primary filter, and part 907073 is the replacement. It sits between the bag and the motor as the last defence before the fan.

TriTex is not a washable filter. Wash it and you destroy it; the right maintenance is to brush the dust off the face each time you change the bag, which keeps the media open and makes the filter last. Used with proper dust bags it should outlive several sets of everything else on the machine.

Replace it when brushing no longer restores airflow, when suction stays low with a fresh bag fitted, or when the media has discoloured right through rather than just on the surface. Check the 11-inch size against the filter you are taking out before ordering.
