This is the four-row roller brush assembly for Bissell ProHeat upright carpet cleaners, part 2101157, also carried as 2101174. It arrives complete with end caps, axle and pivot arms, so the whole rotating assembly comes out and goes back in as one unit.
Four rows of bristles is what gives a ProHeat its scrubbing action, and it is also what wears. As the rows shorten and splay the machine starts wetting carpet more than cleaning it, and marks that used to lift in one pass need three. Worn pivot arms let the roll sit at the wrong height, which makes the wear uneven and noisy into the bargain.
It fits the ProHeat 1692, 1693, 1694, 1694V, 1694W, 1697, 1698, 1698-1, 8804, 8804M, 8806, 8806-1 and 8904. One brush roll per package.
