This genuine ProTeam carbon brush set (Part #101720) is a two pack for the Ametek Lamb motor used in ProTeam commercial vacuums, fitting motors #103243 and #119347 at 120V. The brushes ride against the commutator to transfer current to the spinning armature.
Carbon brushes wear down with every hour of runtime, and worn brushes cause sparking, weak power, or intermittent operation as contact breaks up. Left too long, a stub brush can score the commutator. Replacing both brushes as a set keeps contact even and the motor running at full power.
