The detent spring is what makes a ProForce handle click firmly into its upright, recline, and low positions. Part 104507 supplies two of them. When a spring weakens, the handle stops holding its angle, drifting down while the operator works, or refusing to stand the machine up when it is parked.
It is a failure felt on every single pass, and one of the cheapest repairs on the machine.
These springs fit the ProTeam 1200XP and ProForce 1200XP HEPA, the 1500XP, ProForce 1500, ProForce 1500XP HEPA and 1500XP New Style, and the ProCare 15XP. Fit them with the vacuum unplugged and the handle supported, since the detent assembly is under tension and can spring apart as it is released.
