The transition duct is the moulded passage that carries dirt-laden air from the nozzle up into the bag compartment of a ProForce upright, and part 104236 replaces it. A crack here is a leak in the middle of the airflow path, which is why such an unglamorous part costs so much performance when it fails.
If a ProForce picks up poorly with a fresh bag, a clean filter and a clear hose, the ductwork is the next place to look. A split duct often whistles faintly at the crack, and you may find dust tracking on the outside of the duct where it should be sealed. Impact damage at the base of the machine is the usual cause.
It fits the ProTeam ProForce 1200XP and 1500XP uprights and the ProCare 15XP.
