Product details
Part 836480 is the short connector cord linking a ProTeam backpack to its extension lead. Five machines share it: the Super Coach Pro 6, the Super Coach Pro 10, the units cataloged internally as 1073110 and 1073120, and separately the ProVac FS 6.
Being short is exactly why it wears out. A fifty-foot extension lead spreads its flexing across its whole length, but this stub takes all of that same motion concentrated in one spot, right at the point the connector meets the housing. When it fails, the trouble almost always shows up right at a connector: power that drops when the joint gets moved, a plug body gone loose, or a jacket split open near the strain relief. Before any of that becomes obvious, the connector often feels noticeably warm to the touch, worth checking by hand during routine servicing.
Swapping this short piece costs far less than replacing a full length of harness-mounted cable, and a unit running on a compromised connector belongs out of rotation until it is fitted with a new one, since pushing a marginal connection tends to finish it off mid-route rather than at a convenient moment.
Once the new part is installed, plug in the extension lead and work the joint by hand before putting the backpack back into service, confirming there is no cutout under normal movement.
