Product details
A quick release cuff is the fitting that lets hose and tool attachments lock onto a ProTeam ProForce upright with a push and free themselves again with a twist. Part 105573 replaces this connection point on the 1500XP and its close relatives once the mechanism stops working the way it should.
These cuffs see more mechanical cycling than almost any other part on the machine, since every tool change puts stress on the release catch. Once the plastic cracks or the catch edge rounds over from repeated use, the fit against the mating hose or wand goes soft. Suction pulls air in past the joint instead of through the tool, a hose that used to stay locked works its way loose mid-task, and the drop in pickup at the tool end can be mistaken for a filter or motor problem when the real leak sits at this fitting.
A quick visual check catches most cuff problems before they cause a leak: look for hairline cracks radiating out from the catch itself, and press the release to confirm it springs back crisply rather than staying part depressed. Either sign means the cuff is due for replacement even if the connection still technically holds today.
Fits the ProTeam 1200XP, 1500XP, ProForce 1200XP, and ProForce 1500XP. Swap the cuff out the moment the release stops holding firmly rather than working around it, since every minute the joint leaks is airflow the motor is generating that the machine never gets to use.
