ProTeam Power Cord with Strain Relief and Switch Wires

ProTeam builds part 101714 as a ready-to-install replacement cord for its backpack machines: a mains lead with its strain relief in place and four switch wires supplied with the crimp connections already made, so no stripping or crimping is needed on the bench before it goes in.

Backpack cords absorb abuse that a canister or upright cord never sees. Between shifts the lead gets coiled around the frame, caught underfoot as an operator turns, and unplugged by yanking the cable instead of the plug, and the strain relief is the single point where that repeated pulling concentrates. Watch for a jacket that has split near the box, a plug that feels warm to the touch, or power that drops out only when the cord is bent at a particular angle. Any one of those points to a conductor breaking down inside intact-looking insulation, which is an electrical hazard rather than a routine wear item, and it is worth acting on right away rather than scheduling it for later.
